Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines - Energy Transitions

 

Thank you for considering submitting your manuscript to Energy Transitions. Please follow these guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth and efficient review process:

 

  1. Manuscript Format

Use APA (American Psychological Association) style for bibliographic and formatting standards.

Prepare your manuscript using Microsoft Word.

Use Times New Roman font, size 12, with double line spacing.

 

  1. Title Page

Include the title of the manuscript.

Indicate the names and affiliations of all authors, along with their email addresses.

Designate the corresponding author.

 

  1. Abstract and Keywords

Provide an abstract of 150 to 250 words summarizing the main points of the paper.

Include 5 to 10 keywords that reflect the main topics of the research.

 

  1. Funding and Acknowledgments

If applicable, mention any financial support or funding received for the research.

Acknowledge individuals or institutions that contributed to the research but did not meet the criteria for authorship.

 

  1. Highlights Requirements
  • 3 to 5 concise Highlights.
  • Focus on key findings, methodologies, or implications.
  • Clear, jargon-free language.
  • Stand-alone statements, each conveying the main message.
  • Avoid abbreviations and duplication.
  • Begin with an active verb if possible.
  • Accurately represent the manuscript's content.
  • Include Highlights in your manuscript submission.

 

  1. Author Information

Include a brief biography of each author, highlighting their expertise and qualifications.

Mention the authors' affiliations, city, and country.

 

  1. Tables and Figures

Number all tables and figures consecutively and provide appropriate titles and captions.

 

  1. In-Text Citations

Use APA style for in-text citations. (e.g., Smith & Johnson, 2023; (Brown, 2019)).

 

  1. References

List references alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.

Provide examples for the following reference types:

Journal Article:
